MADONNA FINED 135,000 POUNDS

Madonna has been fined £135,000 for an over-run at her Wembley Stadium gig.

Thousands of commuters were left stranded after the September  11 show when the London stop on Madge’s Sticky and Sweet tour finished 40 minutes late.

Madonna - who had taken to the stage later than planned - was charged £50,000 for every 15 minutes she exceeded the strict curfew, set by venue authorities.

The fine is believed to be a new record. Fellow pop legend George Michael faced a £130,000 bill when his gig also over-ran in 2007.
