Britain’s Loving Angels Instead

The most popular karaoke songs for 2008 have been revealed, and surprise surprise, Robbie Williams takes the top spot with ‘Angels’ (well it has sold over two million copies globally).
According to the Performing Right Society, ABBA and Elvis Presley both feature twice on the poll.
Guy Chambers, who co-wrote ‘Angels’ with Robbie Williams said of the song, “I think ‘Angels’ has endured because it is a pop anthem and functions as a prayer at the same time. In an increasingly secular world we still need songs that bring people together.”
