Kid Rock Offers Support For Obama

Despite being a Republican who publicly supported George Bush’s administration, American rap-rocker Kid Rock has come out in support of Democratic president-elect Barack Obama.

In an interview with the UK’s Metro newspaper, Rock said that Barack’s win is ‘a great thing for black people. Black people were kind to me growing up and taught me hip-hop and the blues, so it’s good the US has proved it’s not as racist as it’s sometimes portrayed.’

He went on to say: ‘I’m patriotic so I’m just happy the people’s voice has been heard. I will support him until I have reason not to.’
